Hi,

Restless leg syndrome is a condition which causes an uncontrollable urge to move your legs, usually because of an uncomfortable sensation. It is typically happens in the evening or night time hours when you are sitting or lying down. It may result from genetics, diabetes, alcoholism, iron deficiency, pregnancy, kidney diseases, spinal cord injuries etc. Treatment depends on causes. Some investigations like CBC, RBS, USG of W/A, s.creatinine, thyroid function tests, MRI of spine etc may help to find out the exact underlying causes for restless leg syndrome and then treat them accordingly. Life style modification may help to reduce the symptoms of restless leg syndrome such as try baths and messages, soaking in a warm bath and messaging your legs can relax your muscles, apply warm or cool packs, try to establish good sleep hygiene, exercise, weight reduction, avoid alcohol and caffeine, consider using a foot wrap etc. Consult your doctor for further medical help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
