Is There Any Harm If Made Food With Same Container Used To Keep Fabric Softener Earlier?

hi, i have just made a roast dinner but while eating it i found the it tasted funny i think i made the gravy in the same jug that i had fabric softener in, the jug had been washed and was rinsed before making the gravy but the jug still smells of it, will it hurt me that i ate some of the meal?

It should not hurt you to have ingested food from same container as there is likely if any just a small amount of residual material from the softener. But I would get rid of the food and avoid using that container for food storage.
