General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Norflex DS is a contraceptive pill and can be generally recommended to be used for up to three months after myomectomy. The reason why contraceptives are given after myomectomy is to reduce bleeding with periods, prevent anemia and also prevent pregnancy within 3 months from the surgery.

If a woman becomes pregnant within the first three months after the uterine surgery (myomectomy) there is increased risk for complications so it is best to prevent pregnancy during this time.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
