General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, it is safe for the treatment of the nephrotic syndrome. Dicaris appears to be effective in inducing sustained remission (decreased urinary protein loss and decreased swelling of the feet) and if given along with wysolone it reduces relapses as well.

It is well tolerated by most of the patients, however its common side effects include vomiting, headache, abdominal discomfort, metallic taste, sleep disturbances and depression.

It does not cure the disease but retards the progression of the disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
