Is The Following Ultrasound Report Normal?

Hi Doc, I had ultra sound and the impression is Single,live,intrauterine pregnancy,31 weeks,1 day by sonar age . Consider cephalocoele.normohydramnios.posterior placenta. OTHERS: Adjacent the head and the neck is an ane choic lobulated cystic structure meas.6.7 x 6.3cm. Please doc can you explain it briefly becos im scared and always worrying about it.please help me.

welcome to hcm ..sorry to say mam ..your fetus is nor normal ..there is abnormal swelling with fluid behing neck ..it is open neural tube defect ..i do not want to scare you as the child will need neurosurgery after birth ..so please take rest in remainung days and plan delivery in some high tech hospital and consult neurosurgeon as such ..but donot be scared ..surgery is successful in high experienced hands and please opt for caesarean section delivery
