Is The Extreme Thirst Because Of Quitting Smoking?

Hi my mum got a diabetes test and she is 59 it came back clear but she cant understand her extreme thirst is this because like a quitted smoker your respiratory system goes through the same act as a smoker through withdrawal and with a quitter also your body goes in this state due to the cleansing process of breaking up the clots which are caused due to smoking which when after consuming water thins out the lining of your blood due to water giving your body the oxygen its desperately craving? I m going through similar effects because I quit smoking im 20 years of age of you could get back to me it be really appreciated Many thanks sophie

No.
Nicotine is chemically similar to the chemicals that nerves use to run .. everything. The body gets used to an overabundance of them. First cigarette causes everything to run (eyes, mouth, etc), but the body damps down the secretion circuit wiring that is activated by nicotine. AND.. in acute nicotine withdrawal, those circuits stop running. There is incredible DRY MOUTH.. which most people interpret as thirst. There will NOT be dehydration, nor other electrolyte abnormality with this.
