Is The Cough And The Swollen Lymph Node Connected?

(20/y.o. male, 134lbs. Never had a major illness) I had a sore throat a while black, nothing to severe ( I think) I could still talk and had a slight cough, after that went a way a few days later I had a swollen lymph node under my left arm that lasted for one day..it caused me to have a hot flash in the middle of the night, but no other side effects. Should I be worried it can be something serious? and can both the cough and the inflammation be connected?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Cough or sore throat or tonsilitis may cause cervical lymphnode enlargement. Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625 mg twice a day for five days. Use tablet levocetrizine twice a day for five days. If no improvement please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
