I have had a very tender left breast for approximately 4 months, I visited my GP yesterday and she gave me an examination she could feel several small lumps but said these were nothing to worry about. She gave me Ibuprofen and told me to take 3 a day for 3 weeks and to go back if the problem is not resolved. She suggests that the pain is not in the breast tissue but in the breast bone. The main pain is actually above the breast, is this normal?. I am extremely sore all over my breast today and can barely get dressed today. I am 39 years old. Thank you for your help. Linda
