Is Taking Anti Inflammatory Drug Prior To Rotator Cuff Surgery A Cause For Concern?
I was having shoulder pain and took 2 Aleve s yesterday evening. I didn t know it was anti-inflammatory drug until I Googled it and I am supposed to have a minor rotator cuff surgery today, a day after taking the Aleve. It wasn t on my list of medication that was included on the 5 day do not take list but no anti-inflammatory was. Is this harmful?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Taking antiinflammatory medication before rotator cuff surgery should do no harm. Intact, after surgery, you will be administered a course of antibiotics and antiinflammatory-analgesic medications. Kindly follow advise strictly after surgery, which would help you to recover in time and completely. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best and wish you seepdy recovery.
