Hi,my pregnancy is 4 weeks running.I was trying since 5/6 months.Now my Dr suggested me to take (microgest 100 )3 times in a day so that this medicine should help me.I go through some web links there I found its not good during pregnancy and somewhere I found good for pregnancy.Now I am really very confused what to do.Please ans my question. Hi I can understand your concern regarding the safety of Microgest during pregnancy. It is a safe drug if given for a proper indication. Microgest is a progesterone hormone and is given as part of hormone replacement therapy to support the pregnancy. It is used to prevent miscarriage if any. It doesn't cause any harm to the baby.
Have regular ante natal check up, take iron & folic acid tablets along with calcium supplements as prescribed by your doctor & discuss your doctor for elaboration on purpose and the role of each prescribed medications.
