Is Swelling Of The Tongue A Side Effect Of Percocet Drug Intake?

my husband had surgery on Friday for an umbilical hernia and has been on percocet since. Within the last 1/2 hour he has developed two hard lumps under his tongue and he says it feels like his tongue is swelling. Is this an allergic reaction to percocet?

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

Percocet is an analgesic drug and is safe to use. The drug consists of Oxycodone and Paracetamol. Paracetamol is relatively safer out of these. If he developed lumps under tongue immediately after taking the drug then he should avoid taking the drug and report to doctor immediately.

Thanks and Take care
