Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I take hyzaar and have been on it about a month. I have noticed just breaking out in sweat and want to know if this is normal. I had been taking hormones but my OBGYN told me that at my age I could or did not have to take them. I just know that the sweating comes on goes off comes on and off all during day and night.
Hyzaar contains a combination of hydrochlorothiazide and losartan. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill). Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Common side effects with intake of Hyzaar include: dizziness, cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough and back pain. Sweating is not a side effect known to occur with use of this medication. If the symptom is bothersome, kindly consult Physician for clinical assessment of the cause and for its appropriate treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
