I m 30 yo and having undescended testicle.er a ultrasound examination i konw it is a bit shrinked and smaller than the normal one (it s about 2.7 cm long). i do have a normal testoren levels.I decided to romeve it. is it the best solution to prevent possible cancer. as it is shrinked. could I feel a lack of hormons, afer surgery or it doesnt produce it at all already.and last question is what happens with spermatic cord because it s cutt off in inguinal canal and part of it still remains inside the abdomen at the bladder.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted that you are 30 years old and have undescended testes with normal testosterone hormone levels. Size of 2.7 cm is not atrophy and means that it is producing hormones nicely.
You should consult a General Surgeon or an Urologist for its possibility to get it down to the scrotum and also repair the hernia which is always present with this condition.
Do not worry about cancer as regular followup with ultrasound, MRI you can track any development.
