Is Slight Trace Of Blood In Urine While On Xarelto A Cause For Concern?

I have been taking xarelto for 10 days. I am 21 years of age and was diagnosed with blood clots in my lungs. I just noticed what could be a slight trace of blood in my urine. I feel normal. No pain or discomfort anywhere. Should I go to the emergency room or contact my doctor first thing in the morning?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It may be best to go to the doctor to be seen since you are on an anti coagulant which is associated with an increased risk of bleeding.

Urine tests for blood and to rule out infection and a check of your complete blood count may be needed.

I hope this helps
