Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain blood from ear due to jumping of your son while cleaning the ear can be due to
injury to the mucosa of
ear canal causing bleeding..
If this is the case then there is no need to worry as it will get healed on its own without any further complications..
But in case if there is deeper pushing of the earbud there is a possibility that it might have injured the eardrum leading to a small perforation that might cause bleeding.
But in this case a proper treatment has to be done to initiate healing as
perforated eardrum can lead to
hearing loss.
I would therefore suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do an Otoscopic examination to rule out the exact cause of problem..
In case of perforation antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller and decongestant can be advised..
Avoid exposure to loud sounds and also avoid swimming and diving..
Large perforation needs to be treated with surgical procedure known as
Tympanoplasty..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
