Is Severe Headache And Dizziness After Fall And Hit On Head Followed By Cut And Little Bleeding Serious?

i live in Atlanta and the roads today are unpassablie. my 25 year old son has united health care insurance. He got out of a car in his drive way and slipped on the ice and hit his head. He fell hard enough to cut the skin but minimal bleading, he now has a sever headache and is dizzy. Trying to find urngent healthcare close enough that he can walk or determine if he should call 911?

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your son's symptoms, and I would like to reassure you that based on the symptoms, he does not seem to have suffered a serious head injury.

Please watch for symptoms such as severe headache, drowsiness, vomiting, double vision, fits, weakness of one half of body, etc. If any of these develop, then, you should call 911 and take him to emergency.

As of now, you can give him ibuprofen for headache and betahistine tablets for dizziness.
