Is Reduced Dosage Of Gabapentin Advisable To Reduce Withdrawal Symptoms?

My doctor put me on Gabapentin about three weeks ago due to some nerve problems I had been having around my neck, shoulders, etc. I started out with 100 mg for one week, then 200 the next week. I did not go on to 300 mg as I am concerned about this med and want to quit taking it. The ones I am taking are capsules so I am wondering if I can take 100 mg every other night until the withdrawals will stop. I don t want to continue but am a little concerned about how to discontinue this med.

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. so taking gabapentin drug for long term will not end up as an addiction or abusive, so dont worry regarding this . so if you want to stop the drug you just because you are facing the withdrawls of that particular drug you can take 100mg alternate night and gradually you can stop. instead you can replace that tablet with pregabalin and metylcobalamin combination which stregthens your nerves and doesnt have any withdrawls with this tablet.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
