Is Rebound Of Acid Secretion Possible Post Weaning Off Of Tecta?

I have been taking Tecta (PPI) for acid reflux for over a year. I read about long term studies and other sources recommending against long term use. I am trying to control by diet (low acid, low fat) but wonder about the rebound that some people mention when stopping Tecta or other PPIs. Is this a possibility and if so, how to prevent it or reduce it.
