Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Pregnancy Possible While Taking Contraceptive Pills?
I was a virgin until I was recently married. I just started taking the pill (Minastrin 24 Fe) and I have yet to miss any days. I have had a somewhat irregular period most my life and I ve only been on the pill 2 months so I can t tell if it s regulated or not yet. We have used a condom everytime, but I wanted know if the pill would be enough to prevent pregnancy. I know there are no chances of STDs between us, but I would like to know the chance of pregnancy. Are all days safe when taking the pill? Should I use the rhythm method? Should I always use a condom? Thank you for your time.
Hello I appreciate your concern Condom is always good as it prevents spread of infection apart from contraception
You can take oral contraceptive pills after physical examination and proper assessment by a gynaecologist. All days are safe when you take the pills. Hope this answers your question best wishes
