Is Pregnancy Possible While On Birth Control Pills?

I had my period from April 25 to May 1. I began birth control for the first time the Sunday after the start of my period so April 30. I ve been taking the pills for five days every morning. My fiancé and I had unprotected sex today. Any chance I could be pregnant? Is the pill in my system enough because I started it five days after the beginning of my period?

Hi,

Nowadays pill is started on the first day of menstruation but earlier it was started on the 5th day of the start of menstruation. So you can be relaxed about the danger of pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi,
