Is Pregnancy Possible While On Birth Control Pills?

I had been taking my birth control for 5 days, and missed the 6th. On the 7th day I took two, and then took the 8th the next day. That day, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. I know its too early to take a test since it has barely been a week, but what are the chances that I m pregnant? I ve been really nervous about it, and though I will take a test in a few weeks, I d like to have a second opinion. Thank you, all.

Hello,

I have sent many women with same problem you have. First let me tell you about birth control pill action. As you start to take pill, it will alter your hormonal balance and not allow sperm to make any embryo. If you have taken for more than 4 days and then you missed 1 pill, then its ok you should continue. Pregnancy will not occur.

But if you missed 2 pills and had unprotected sex then take emergency contraception and start new pill as a day 1. So you just missed pill on 6th day and from 7th day you have continued the pills.
