Is Pregnancy Possible While On An Expired Implanon Implant?

I have had my implanon in for three years, it was due to be taken out on the 7th of november but I was away on holiday. I forgot that I had it in and had unprotected sex. I started spotting today after already having a week of period (we had sex when I ended my period). could i be pregnant? could the spotting be a miscarriage? Help... I m scared.

Hi,

Expired Implanon will not have a contraceptive effect but having unprotected sex immediately after periods had little possibility of conception.

So you can hope to escape risk. Anyway, the possibility of pregnancy can be excluded only after pregnancy test blood beta HCl test around expected date of periods /HPT after 8 days delay in periods.

The spotting you had after a week of periods can be ovulation bleeding. So be careful & avoid unprotected sex these days.
