Hello, I ve been on the implant for 1 year & 2 months. I recently got it taken out February 28 & i was wondering if it s possible to get pregnant right away? Me & my partner have been having unprotected intercourse & i was just wondering what are the chances of getting pregnant.

Dear Madam,
Hi & Welcome.

Usually after removal of the birth control implant, the birth control effects of the implant disappears immediately. The fertility returns to previous level immediately, however the majority of the cases fertility resumes within three months.

It is therefore recommended to wait one menstrual cycle or more before you try to conceive as this will allow your body to return to its former natural rhythm.

Hope to have answered your query.
Best wishes.
