Your doubt seems to be valid.
The bleeding you had after the
abortion pill could not have effected abortion. Was is only bleeding or you could see some whitish tissue in the blood also? Such whitish tissue is usually noted in abortion bleeding.
That is why I have been all the while advising that abortion pills should be taken only on Obstetrician's advice and under his/her supervision.
Now the best way is to get the
pregnancy test done on urine or get
ultrasonography done to find the status of your pregnancy. If it has not been aborted at all or aborted incompletely, you will have to get the evacuation done from the obstetrician.
The other rather lesser possibility is development of
Choriocarcinoma - a cancer of the chorionic tissue of the embryo. It can develop after abortion, delivery or molar pregnancy. In such cases, the quantitative
hCG estimations show very high levels. If diagnosed well in time, it can be very easily and completely cured by medicines. If undiagnosed, may lead to devastating bleeding.
Please do not neglect. See your Obstetrician ASAP.
