Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking An Oral Contraceptive Pill?
Hi,
6 days ago I had sex but the condom broke and we didn't realize until we were finished. 8 hours later I took the norlevo emergency contraceptive pill. I am unsure of my cycle because a month prior to this I began taking dianette as a form of contraception but due to another medical condition I have I had to come off it as it was dangerous to continue taking it. I had bled for 33 days straight when I was on this pill and the last day of bleeding was two days before I had sex. Today I experienced a very small amount of brown discharge. Am I pregnant?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine, Dr. MANDAVI RAI's Response
Hi,
If your bleeding just finished 2 days before sex, you will definitely not get pregnant. Plus you have already taken emergency pills so there is no chance...and don't take contraceptive pills if it's contraindicated for you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mandavi Rai
