Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking An I-pill?

Hi doctor .. I had my period on 2nd November .. I had Sec with my partner on 19th Nov and had taken an I pill within an hour.. On the same day again we had sex and condom get burned unexpectedly.. I had taken another I pill within 12 hour.. Is ter any chances of getting pregnant .. When can I get my withdrawal bleeding and normal regular period..??? Please help me doctor I m worried

Hello and welcome,

The risk of pregnancy with emergency hormonal contraception use is very low. It isn't ask low as with daily use of The Pill, or an IUD, but risk is still low.

By now though, if you were pregnant, a urine pregnancy test would be positive. So if it isn't positive, you aren't pregnant.

Emergency hormonal contraception such as the I pill is a big dose of progestin, and many women find that their cycles are messed up (come early or late or spotting) from it. So not having your period now, or having an irregular period for a couple of months, is somewhat normal with I pill and does not mean you are pregnant.

For the future, consider a regular form of contraception such as The Pill or an IUD, so that you don't have to worry. The I Pill and other forms of emergency contraception are really only meant for emergencies (such as the condom breaking as you described), but otherwise, use a regular form of contraception.

So... if preg. test is negative, no need to worry.
