Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking I-pill After Unprotected Intercourse?

After 2 days of my periods my husband ejaculated on my vagina and to be on safe side i took i-pill within 24 hours and after 1 week of taking i-pill i started bleeding. My question are:- Is this normal bleeding? Is there any chance of getting pregnant? When will i get my periods? This bleeding is my period or something else? What are the side-effects of i-pill? Thankyou in Advance. Please help me as soon as possible.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Emergency contraception can cause irregular periods to occur in some persons.
They can change the frequency , timing or intensity of a cycle.

This means that it is not abnormal for unusual bleeding to occur. It can take one or two cycles for the period to return to normal for some women.

I hope this helps
