Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Escapelle Pills After Intercourse?

Had unprotected sex on day3 of my natural period. Took Escapelle pills within less than 24hrs after to be sure. Took postinor 2 pills within less than 48hrs after unprotected sex on day9 after my natural period. Had normal heavy red bleeding 5days after which lasted for 4days. (which I believe it s similar to my period blood.) No ejaculation. Got back negative test on day16. Does this mean I m still safe from pregnancy? I ve fear of late periods now as it s unpredictable due to my usual irregular period cycle which comes every 1-2months. The hormonal imbalance was much to handle throughout.. But it got better as week goes by. But I m still paranoid.. Hope I m not pregnant.

Hi, I think you are not pregnant if you got your periods normally after taking emergency pill. Emergency pill is not a routine contraceptive, so use a proper oral contraceptive if you don't want pregnancy. Also do a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound to see uterus and ovaries to find out the cause of irregular periods. You can use oral contraceptive pill in both ways, as a treatment as well as a contraceptive. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps.
