Is Pelvic Pain After A Surgery For Endometriosis A Symptom Of An Infection?

Hello,
For a few months I was having pain in the pelvic area occasionally around ovulation or/and period time but it always went away until the next time. I went to get it checked and it turned out I had endometriosis. I got surgery about 3 weeks ago. Apparently the mass was quite big but it was benign. 1week after the surgery i went back to the surgeon to get the stitches out and told him the pain was back. he examined me and told me the pain was coming from my right groin lymph node witch was swollen. But now its two weeks later and the pain is back. the region is swollen and it hurts when I touch it. I am taking a treatment that will make me sterile during 3 months (so 2 months left) to make sure that the endometriosis is completely gone and to "reboot" my reproductive organs. I am wondering if the pain is due to the endometriosis or if the whole time the pain was due to another underlying cause now that i know the only pain i ever felt were just my swollen lymph nodes. With this treatment i was told that it would be like menopause but i am still experiencing the ordinary cycle symptoms like soar breasts, and pain in lymph nodes during period or ovulation. could the lymph nodes be swollen because my body i still healing? or is there another infection? I also suffer from psoriasis (hands and feet) could this be causing that pain but then why would it just be during those times? and the surgery took place on the same side, right above the lymph node that hurts so wouldn't they have seen if there was anything else going on there? I am worried we missed something...

Hi,

It can be a sign of post operative infections and possible PID( pelvic inflammatory disease). You can consult a gynecologist at the earliest and get an ultrasound scan done to rule out infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
