Is No Fetal Heart Beat At 8 1/2 Weeks Of Pregnancy Normal?

I went to the doctors on Sep 22 2014 for my check up on my pregnancy. I m 11 weeks and the doctor told me that my baby is growing at a 8 1\2 week size. The doctor found no heart beat. She wants to schedule me an d & c next week. But I m not experiencing any cramps or bleeding. Should I get a second opinion to see if they do find a heart beat on my baby? Or should I just go for the d & c?

Hi...at 8 & 1/2 wks of pregnancy if fetal heart is Not there on ultrasound then there are more chance missed abortion for which bleeding or pain is not necessary... I think you should go for d & c...
