Is Nausea Related To Pain Due To Surgery Or To The Medications?

I had surgery to repair a broken bone less than a week ago. I am still experiencing a fair bit of nauseous - yes pain is still there, but I am trying to avoid the morphine prescription they gave me. Is the nausea related to the pain or could it be just from the cocktail of drugs I had received while in hospital?

Hi
After going through your query the most likely cause for nausea is the drugs given during and after operation.stop morphine and have ibuprofen,if you do not have much of pain.Discuss with your doctor regarding antiemetic drugs, they will help.
Take care and i shall be glad to answer any future query.
Accept my best wishes for early bone union.
