Is Nausea And Fatigue A Symptom Of Abnormal Cholesterol Level?

I have been feeling fatigued, nauseous and achey for a couple of years now. I have had several tests but to no avail, the Doctors all say my blood tests are normal etc. Upon looking into my blood tests a bit more recently every one of them have high Serum Gamma GT levels and abnormal cholesterol levels, I have also recently found out that EPV has been detected. Still my doctors say they don t know what is wrong with me and send me away. I do not drink alcohol and have not done for about 20 years, I take 2 panadol most days due to the pain but other than that I have a very healthy diet. Three years ago I had a blocked bile duct and then 6mths later I had my gallbladder removed. I am looking for an opinion on the above information and I am wondering what steps i should take next as it is very depilating living with this fatigue and nausea. Thank you. Angela

Hi Angela

The raised GGT may be the result of your blocked bile duct. You are also complaining of nausea and ache which may be related to the same. I would advice you to have yourself checked by a gastroenterologist in relation to the high GGT and nausea and aches with past history of bile duct obstruction.

The abnormal cholesterol has little link with the symptoms you are experiencing. However, abnormal cholesterol does need evaluation and treatment and you can alert you physician about the same.
