Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

First of all, your having symptoms of chronic nausea has no effect on trying to get pregnant.

However, your age is a factor to be considered. Many women can get pregnant in their 40's but the overall fertility rate is decreased. There is no way to know if you have the ability to conceive in advance without actually trying to get pregnant. However, the majority of women will conceive within one year with regular (at least every 2-3 days) intercourse from the time their period finishes or day 7 of their cycle (whichever comes first) until they start to develop premenstrual symptoms.

So yes, it is possible for you to become pregnant, however I would recommend evaluation by a fertility doctor if you have not conceived within 6 months.

I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.

Best wishes,

Dr. Brown
