Is Monocef A Safe Drug For A 7-8 Month Old Fetus?

My wife is just short of completing her 8 months/32 weeks of pregnancy. Her membrane ruptured on April 21st in the a.m. but there was no gush of fluids but mild dribbling. As of today she has adequate level of amniotic fluid for the baby to survive. The doctor had put her on Monocef for about 8-10 days from April 21st to April 28 and was trying to control her gestational diabetes that she developed at around 7 months. Is Monocef a safe drug for a 7-8 month fetus?
