Is Mild Concentration Of Beer Safe For A Healthy Body?

Hello my name is edwina. I had pancreastist a year and a half ago. My doctor said not to have alcohol for a year and when i do start back on alcohol it has to be slowly. It hasnt bothered me not having alcohol but, would itbe ok if i had a 2% or5% beer or rtd if i felt like one? Just wondering?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
By going through your description, it appears that the doctor had advised you to stop alcohol intake as you could have had inflammation of pancreas.
Since the recovery of inflammed pancreas takes a longer duration, it was advised to stop alcohol consumption for about a year.
Although you can consume mild alcohol drinks now and have it once in a while, it could be little risky as you might get habituated to consume more as time progresses and give chance for pancreatic damage to happen again.
Hence, it would be better to avoid it totally so that you could lead a healthy life more comfortably.
