Is Metallic Taste In Mouth Due To Drugs?

I was on antibiotic s about for about a year and a half, off and on.. I had a vey nasty taste like metal all the time. After I was off the drugs, the taste went away. About 3 weeks ago I started having that taste in my mouth again. Could this be the drugs still in my body?thanks Tim

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The metallic taste could be because of the use of certain drugs like metronidazole.
antihypertensives like lisinopril, fosinopril, enalapril, trandolapril, quinapril and ramipril. Anticancer drugs and antihistamines can also cause metallic taste. The metallic taste should return back to normal after stopping the medicines, it might take maximum of two weeks. If it does not subside then you consult a oral physician.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
