Is Menstruation Still Possible Even After Break Through Bleeding?

I missed the last nine active pills in my pack. After the first few I had some break through bleeding that lasted maybe two days. I m approaching the seven inactive pills in my pack before I normally start my period. Should I still get my period after break through bleeding? I ve had unprotected sex multiple days after missing the pill.

The nine days of missed pills may have resulted in lower levels of your contraceptives and increase the chance of pregnancy if you did not use another method of birth control eg condoms etc

It would be best to take a pregnancy test at least 2 weeks after the last possible time of conception because it takes most pregnancy tests 11 to 14 days to detect HCG which is released in pregnancy.

If you are not pregnant then you would get your period as normal when you use the inactive pills though break through bleeding occurred before.
