Is Long Term Use Of Gabapentin Safe Dosage?

I am 70, and have been in a wheelchair for 35 years. I am taking Gabapentin for Neuropathic pain that is disproportionate to the injuries first incurred: skull fracture of the left temporal bone at the age of 5. I also have congenital macrocytic Pernicious Anemia. Is a regular dose of 300mg may be too strong a dosage for my weight and condition?

Your dose of 300mg of gabapentin is actually a very small dose. For people with seizures and our same weight and body build may need to take 600mg three times a day to help control seizures. But for you if 300mg daily helps with your neuropathy then that is appropriate.
