Is Large Red Spot On Bikini Line After Brasilian Wax An Allergic Reaction ?

I got a Brazilian wax on Tuesday, and I have gotten them once a month since September. This time, however, I noticed a large red spot on my bikini line today. It appeared this morning, and the wax was 2 days ago. I used some benzoyl peroxide on the area last night. Do you think this is an allergic reaction? What can I do to make it go away?

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

Wax is an irritant and should be applied for a short contact period.

You have developed an allergic reaction to it,

Apply a mild steroid lotion like desonide,

Also take an antihistamine tablet.

This will give you some relief.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.
