Is It Safe To Take High Dosage Of Wysolone 40?

My dad is suffering from shrinking lungs and has visited a pulmonologist in delhi. He was put on wysalone 40twice a day and was taperred down till 30 . Recently while he has started taking the dosage of 20,he is feelung weak and luttle breathless too. The dr. has adviced again for the dosage of 30. Is it not unsafe to be on such a high dosage! What should we do?

As you mentioned that your father is having shrinking in the lungs and advised Wysolone ( prednisolone ) 40 mg twice in days and gradually tappers .
Now your father again feeling shortness of breath and your pulmonologist advise increase the doses .
The dose is very high but safe and if your pulmonologist has advised take this dose because this is treatment and medicine is necessary that's why your doctor advised . When ever your father will get desired result , your doctor will tappers this drug .
