Is It Safe To Take Azithral And Minoz For A Long Period?

I have been taking azithral 250 mg and minoz tablet for over a month. I am having each tablet once daily as said by my skin doctor. I was having severe acne which the doctor called as follicles. Is it harmful to have these tablets for so long. Are there any sde effects for thses?

Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic.

Azithromycin and minocycline are antibiotics used to treat acne.

We usually prescribe either one of them and not both.

Minocycline could cause darkening of skin especially on areas where previous acne were present.

Azithromycin on long term daily use could cause vaginal fungal infection like candidiasis.
We prefer to give it as weekly pulse.

Please revisit your doctor and discuss the above.
