Is It Safe To Take Atripla During Pregnancy?

Morning, i have just started Atripla on the 23rd August and i intend to have a second child next year. how safe is it do so? My Dr said it was safe to take the medicine whilst pregnant but i am not so sure because of the side effects of atripla to the baby

Thanks for the query.
According to the safety information of a triple, it should not be used during pregnancy.
The woman should avoid pregnancy during usage of atripla and also till 12 weeks after stopping the drug.
Because there is possibility of fetal anomalies with usage of this drug.

So, better to avoid pregnancy during usage of drug and after 12 weeks of it's completion.
During this period you better use some contraceptive measure, preferably barrier method of contraception.
After completion of risk period, you can plan for pregnancy.
