Is It Safe To Take Paracetamol Along With Temitil?

Hello! Thank you x I am currently taking stemitil for vertigo and have come off betahistine x today I felt very heavy in the ears with headache and burning and took 5mg of stemitil 8mg of betahistine and 2 paracetamol! I had the best afternoon for over 2 months. I have been referred to ENT as this is having quite an effect on daily life. However, my question relates to the following. Can I take paracetamol with these tablets ? The Dr advised to take betahistine if requires so my plan is stemitil 5mg x 2 daily 8mg betahistine 2 × daily and paracetamol when required ? Am I on the right lines ?

I appreciate your concern for the safety of Paracetamol while taking Stemetil.

Regarding your concern, I would say that there is no contraindication in taking these drugs together.

As per your doctor's instructions Paracetamol to be taken when it is required i.e., whenever you feel that you are going to have a headache.

Besides I would like to advise you to undergo some tests with the aim of excluding any possible brain cause underlying your symptoms.

You should consult with a neurologist for a careful physical examination and perform routine blood tests for inflammation and a brain CT scan .
