Dear Patient,
Thanks for contacting HCM
I would like you to know that Ganaton is Ilaprazole which is a
Proton Pump Inhibitor, it decraeses acid secretion in stomach while ilapro is a Itopride which is a prokinetic drug (it increases motility of stoamch). Both these drugs are used for functional dyspepsia (Gastroesophageal Reflex Disease) and other gastrointestinal conditions. Itopride can cause side effects such as gastric "fullness", discomfort, and possible pain,
gastroparesis (delayed gastric emptying), anorexia, heartburn, regurgitation, bloating, nausea and vomiting while Ilaprazole use may cause Flatulence, Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Nausea, Diarrhea, Myalgia,
Constipation, Insomnia,
Abdominal Pain, Dry Mouth, Urticaria, Pruritus,
Photosensitivity. But incidence of side effects with the use of both these drugs is very low and i have tried this combination in my patients and they have tolerated them well. I have been giving my patients both of these drugs for more than 1 year so i would advice you to continue to take these medication as the benefit of using them outweighs the side effects. If you develop any new symptom with the use of this combination you can contact your treating physician or contact us.
Hope this has helped you
