Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If you have no previous heart attack, or stroke, or Angina, and your cholesterol or not very high , you may stop taking the drug. However please do not do this without the advice of your doc. you can talk to him if there is no good indication for it , i am sure he would agree to stop it . But who knows if he has started it fro something more important which you may not be knowing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
