Is It Safe To Lift Weights Before A Hysterectomy?

Hi, I have a large uterine mass that I will be getting surgery for. There is pressure in my abdomen that is causing Hydronephrosis in both kidneys but mostly my right. Is it Ok to continue lifting weights before my hysterectomy? I do lift moderately heavy, also is HIIT Ok? and lastly should I make any changes to my diet? I do eat a lot of protein. I have noticed some back pain but not really any other symptoms from my kidneys. Thanks

Hello,

It is not a good idea to lift heavy weights if you have a uterine mass. It can cause back pain and also can cause the uterus to come out.

If you are a person who continuously is trained to lift weighs and has mussels to support it then you can cope better with it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
