Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your daughter cough is most likely bronchoobstruction due to allergy which is also called bronchial asthma.Inhaled salbutamol(asthalin) or inhaled corticosteroid is safe for long term use.It has very less side effects. It should be used with regular follow up with your doctor.Prophylactic antiallergic medications like monteleukast and levocetirizine on long term therapy helps in stopping further attacks.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
