Is It Safe To Give Benadryl To Treat Welts All Over Body In Children?
I ha a three year old girl to the doctor yesterday. We were told that she was allergic to her antibotics she was taking for an ear infection. She had welts all over her body. The doctor told us to give her Benadrl. She has more welts and is itching today. Should we take her back in?

It seems that this might be due to allergic reaction of antibiotic medicine.
Stop that antibiotic and another safe antibiotic will be prescribed by your doctor.
Give her Benadryl syrup for 2-3 days.
