1. since non vegetarian food generally fall in the category of “difficult to digest” foodstuff, thus they are not normally recommended, especially during treatment.

2. In Ayurveda non vegetarian is responsible for decrease in the "sattva" or pure state of mind which will further lead to imbalance of thinking process, difficulty in understanding/processing thoughts, emotional outbursts, restlessness, excessive sleep etc. based on the level to which one is affected.

PS. It is worth mentioning that approved clinical evidences are available only for lowering LDL, increasing HDL, decreasing blood glucose level, treating genital herpes and psoriasis, because of possible contamination by anthraquinones, oral aloe gel may cause symptoms of abdominal cramps and diarrhoea.

[Aloe should not be used internally during pregnancy, lactation or childhood and by persons suffering from abdominal pain, appendicitis or intestinal obstruction, the product claims must be tested by intensive clinical trials, verified and certified by the Government regulatory authorities to build consumer confidence and to ensure safety of the aloe vera products.

The issue related to aloes compound call for lesser spicy food, and in non veg there are more condiments that is why in some cases we advice simple bland diet. It is doctors expertise that lays specific restriction in particular cases otherwise no hard and fast rule exists that bans use of non veg while consuming aloes compound.
