Is It Normal To Leak Amniotic Fluid During Pregnancy?

I'm 38 weeks this Tuesday and the last few days I feel like I've been having contractions. They aren't unbearable but they are painful. Last week I went to the e.r. to make sure I wasn't leaking my amniotic fluid and their monitor showed I was having mostly steady contractions but they weren't bad enough for me to feel them. Is this normal? This is my second child.

welcome...
leakage of amniotic fluid is not normal...it will lead to delivery...

associated pain sugests that labour process has started...
rupture membrane can lead to infection...

better to consult your doctor immedietely to decide plan of management..
